Apple is instituting yet another price hike across its services. Its Apple One Premier bundle , the most expensive but best value package, is going from $33 to $38.
Competitors are also raising rates, but Apple’s is still the largest. The Verge reports:
Apple is raising the prices of several of its services, including Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus, and Apple One. Apple TV Plus is going from $6.99 per month to $9.99 per month, and Apple’s other services are seeing significant hikes, too. MacRumors first spotted the changes.
Instead of $4.99 per month, Apple Arcade will now cost $6.99 per month. Meanwhile, Apple News Plus is increasing from $9.99 per month to $12.99 per month. With all three services getting price increases, that means the Apple One bundle is going up as well.
Subscription services are a very lucrative sector, in part because it generates a continuous cash flow. Users sometimes forget to cancel services when they no longer use them.
After your subscription is canceled, your services will continue to be accessible until your next billing date. So if you paid for a year of Apple TV+, for example, it will be available until what you’ve paid for expires. Apple One can only be purchased on a monthly basis, so you’ll have a month at most before access runs out.
If you need to cancel your subscription on your Mac, the process is similar. Open the System Settings app, click on your profile picture, select Media & Purchases, and choose “Manage” under the Subscriptions option. From there, you can follow the same steps listed above.
While prices are rising, services are also offering deep discounts and free trial periods to onboard new customers.
