Apple Event Unveiled

Apple is scheduled to have an event on October 30 to unveil new hardware. While the exact details are unknown, users have already speculated on what is to come.

After a successful iPhone season, Apple is looking to switch its seasonal emphasis to computers. Centered on its offerings is the M3 Chip, its third generation chip that has drastically improved Mac performance. Tech Crunch says:

Apple this morning sent out invites for its upcoming “Scary Fast” virtual event, set for October 30. Along with being scheduled for All Hallows’ Eve-Eve, the tagline could well be a reference to new silicon. Perhaps the new M3 chip is scheduled to arrive in time for what will most likely be the company’s last big event before gift buying season is in full force.

Regardless of what they’re packing, new Macs seem like a lock for the big online event. After all, the company’s computers didn’t get much love at the recent iPhone event, and Apple’s almost certainly going to belatedly commemorate macOS Sonoma with some compatible hardware.

Apple sometimes reveals new iPads in October. Its recent release of a new more affordable Apple Pencil could indicate going in that direction. The Verge reports:

So far, rumors suggest that Apple could reveal a refreshed 24-inch iMac, along with a new MacBook Pro. As reported by Gurman, Apple’s inventory of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros and the iMac have begun to dry up, which could indicate that we could soon see new models.

Previous rumors hinted the new computers could include Apple’s M3 chip for even faster performance. That speed boost could be what Apple’s hinting at with its “Scary Fast” event name. While Apple typically reveals new iPads in October, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that we may not see any updates until next year.

Apple has finally switched all its new hardware models to USB-C, including basic iPads. The release of a new Mac or other Apple product usually means a drop in price of the previous model. This might be a good time to get cheaper hardware.
